Currently, there is no united strategy between the world countries in fighting the IS terrorist group (ISIS, ISIL or Daesh), which is one of the major threats around the world.
Among the countries that has no real strategy of fighting the IS is the US, the contributing editor at the US News&World report Peter Roff told Trend during ‘This Week in Focus’ program episode.
"We need a plan [to fight against the IS]," he said. "The president needs to get all of the tools necessary to fight ISIS without Congressional interference."
"The fact is that the ISIS knows no geographic boundaries, no government," he said. "But it is an army that threatens, I believe, the US interests and the interests of the global civilization."
He further added that it may be time to reevaluate the US strategy with regards to partnership in fighting the enemy.
"We have no policy to fight with terror groups," Roff said, adding that the US needs a government-wide discussion of how to deal with terrorism and how to develop a long-term strategy on this issue.
