Iranian bank in Azerbaijan undergoes major changes

Azerbaijani branch of "Bank Melli Iran" has undergone changes as the branch's director general Manoochehr Hosseinzadeh was dismissed from his post, Iranian embassy in Baku told Trend.

Hosseinzadeh served as the director general in the bank for 7.5 years. Reportedly, he stepped down for personal reasons.

Hosseinzadeh is currently out of the country, said the embassy, and his his duties are fulfilled by deputy director general Askar Najafi.

As a result of 3Q 2015, the assets of the bank's Baku branch reached 17.4 million manat.

The Baku branch of Bank Melli Iran began its activity in 1993, while Bank Melli Iran itself in 1928. Currently, it has 3,3 thousand branches throughout Iran.
