US expects increase in global petroleum supplies

By Elena Kosolapova – Trend: The Energy Information Administration (EIA) expects the global petroleum and other liquids supply will increase to 95.79 million barrels per day in 2016, the organization said in its December short-term forecast.

In 2015 the global petroleum and other liquids supply is expected to reach 95.54 million barrels per day, in 2014 the supply hit 93.26 million barrels of oil.

EIA expects that OPEC supply will increase to 38.06 million barrels per day in 2016 compared to 36.35 million barrels per day in 2014 and 37.43 million barrels per day in 2015.

Non-OPEC supply is projected to reach 57.74 million barrels of oil per day in 2016 compared to 58.1 million barrels per day in 2015 and 56.92 million barrels per day in 2014.
