A passenger was wounded in the Nirooye Havaei station of the Tehran metro as a police officer opened fire from a pistol by accident.
Tehran city police department issued a statement saying that the incident happened accidentally when the policeman was checking his weapon, the ISNA agency reported Dec. 11.
Reportedly, the injured person was taken to a hospital and his health condition is satisfactory.
