An event to mark the Day of solidarity of world Azerbaijanis and the New Year has been held in Vienna, Austria.
The event brought together compatriots living in Austria, students, employees of the embassy.
Ambassador Galib Israfilov spoke of the history of the Day of Solidarity of world Azerbaijanis, adding this day was founded at the initiative of national leader Heydar Aliyev.
The Diplomat highlighted the progress achieved by Azerbaijan in the field of socio-economic development over the last years, adding the country conducts its independent policy. The ambassador called compatriots to improve their efforts in popularizing Azerbaijan in Austria, as well as in improving the activity of Diaspora.
The event also featured a concert.
