Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations of Azerbaijan Mubariz Gurbanli has met Ambassador of Israel to the country Dan Stav.
The Chairman highlighted the history of Azerbaijani-Israeli relations, as well as activity of the Jewish Community in Azerbaijan.
On the deep roots of multicultural and tolerance environment in Azerbaijan, Mr. Gurbanli spoke of the importance of declaration of 2016 the Year of Multiculturalism in the country.
“Representatives of various confessions, religions and nations live in Azerbaijan in peace and stability over the centuries.” Said the Chairman.
Dan Stav, in turn, highlighted his visits to regions of Azerbaijan, saying he observed high-level existence of tolerance and multicultural environment in the country.
