The State Committee for Environmental Protection and Land Resources was created in Turkmenistan, the message of the government said Jan.12.
The Committee has been established to conduct a common policy in the field of environment protection and regulation of land relations, strengthen control over the protection of flora and fauna and rational use of land resources.
The corresponding documents were signed by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhammadov at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of the country.
The State Committee of Turkmenistan for Environmental Protection and Land Resources was created by merging the Ministry of Nature Protection and the Land Resources Service under the Ministry of Agriculture.
