A railway line between Azerbaijan and Iran will have been constructed by the end of this year, president of Azerbaijan Railways Javid Qurbanov has told journalists.
He said a tender will soon be put out for the construction of a stretch of the line in Azerbaijan, which is part of the “North-South” International Transport Corridor.
"By the end of 2016, the construction of the 7.5 km long section of the line that stretches to the Iranian border and a 100 m long railway bridge on the border will have been finished," Qurbanov added.
