At least five PKK members have been killed in two separate incidents in Turkey's southeastern provinces, Anadolu agency reported with the reference to the Turkish military.
The Turkish General Staff said in a statement that five PKK militants were "neutralized" in a security operation in Turkey’s southeastern Sirnak and Diyarbakir provinces Wednesday.
In the operation in Sirnak's Cizre district, Turkish army seized 121 cartridges, hunting rifles and Kalashnikovs, and also destroyed improvised explosives.
In the same province’s Silopi district, the army seized 420 more cartridges, as well as two generators and four grenade launchers.
In separate operations in the region, at least 10 terrorists and collaborators were also been detained, Turkish military said.
