Belarus refused to raise tariffs for transportation of Russian oil, according to the country’s Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade. On 28 September, the government of Belarus announced its intention to raise rates for the transit of Russian crude through its domestic pipeline network by 50% on average. Transneft considered the unscheduled increase in tariffs for the transportation of crude oil by Belarus a violation of the contract. The Belarusian Ministry adopted a resolution cancelling the previous decision to increase tariffs on Tuesday.
