A next session of the CIS Interstate Council for Earth Geodesy, Cartography, Cadaster and Remote Sensing will be held in Chisinau, Moldova, on October 18 and 19, according to the press service of the CIS headquarters in Minsk. The Council will assess the implementation of the decisions adopted at the previous session, hear and discuss information of the educational working group on a draft agreement on cooperation in training specialists in the field of geodesy, cartography, cadaster and remote sensing of CIS.
A working group aiming to develop the concept of spatial data infrastructure of CIS member states will inform the members of the Council on the implementation of pilot projects, and a working group on navigation will present a report on its activities.
The meeting will discuss issues on the development of the Basic Principles on the conversion of materials cartography and geodesy funds from analog to digital form and the draft Regulation on the technical support of the delimitation of the state borders of CIS states.
