“Georgia is interested in development of the friendly and brotherly relations with Azerbaijan”, said Dimitri Kumsishvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, as he met Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy Shahin Mustafayev.
The Georgian minister emphasized that today, friendly relations between nations, state and government leaders create opportunities for the comprehensive development of bilateral relations. He informed about a number of projects which they try to implement as soon as possible. Dimitri Kumsishvili also stressed the importance of these projects in further strengthening of strategic partnership between the two countries.
İn turn, Azerbaijani minister expressed his gratitude for hospitality, noting that Azerbaijan and Georgia were strategic partners. Shahin Mustafayev said that large-scale regional projects realized with the participation of Azerbaijan, serve also the regional development, peace and security. Azerbaijani minister in particular stressed the importance of joint support of each other in international events.
The territories of both countries have been occupied, and regional cooperation will intensively expand after the liberation of the lands, the minister added.
At the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on projects implemented in the region, the new projects and prospects for development of the strategic partnership and other issues of mutual interest.
