Baku, Azerbaijan, Mar.16
By Rufiz Hafizoglu – Trend:

Prime minister of Norway Erna Solberg will not take part in the events related to the centennial of the so-called Armenian genocide to be held April 24 in Yerevan, Turkish news agency DHA reported Mar.16 with reference to the prime minister of Norway.
She said that bilateral relations of Norway with Turkey are more important than relations with Armenia.

With this in mind, the prime minister will not take part in events related to the centennial of the so-called Armenian genocide.

Armenia and the Armenian lobby claim that Turkey's predecessor, the Ottoman Empire allegedly carried out ”genocide” against the Armenians living in Anatolia in 1915. Turkey in turn has always denied "the genocide" took place.

While strengthening the efforts to promote the "genocide" in the world, Armenians have achieved its recognition by the parliaments of some countries.

On April 24, Turkey will hold celebrations in honor of the victory in the Battle of Canakkale (also known as the Dardanelles Campaign, or the Battle of Gallipoli) which will be attended by heads of more than 50 countries of the world.
