Baku-APA. Latvian ambassador to Azerbaijan Hardy Baumanis died in Baku, broadcaster Emin Mousavi, who cooperates with the Embassy of Latvia, told APA.
According to him, Hardy Baumanis died on April 6. "He played a major role in the development of relations between our countries," said E.Musevi.
Hardy Baumanis, 48, prior to the appointment to Azerbaijan, served as ambassador to Lithuania, as well as the Consul General in St. Petersburg.
Latvian Foreign Minister, confirming the death of ambassador, expressed his condolences to the families and friends of the late ambassador, emphasizing his contribution to the development of the Latvian diplomacy.
