Baku, Azerbaijan, April 7
By Khalid Kazimov - Trend:

A group calling themselves students and clerical pupils gathered outside the Iranian parliament in Tehran to protest the recent framework agreement between the Islamic Republic and world powers on the country’s nuclear program.

The protesters, estimated to be around 200 people, carried posters and distributed handouts that criticized the talks which ended on April 2 in Lausanne, Switzerland.

The Director of Political Affairs of the Tehran Governorate Mohammad Reza Yousofi said that the protests were organized illegally, whereas in Iran government's permission is needed for public demonstrations.

A number of MPs who strongly oppose the nuclear talks also joined the crowd.
Although illegal, the demonstrations did not draw any physical response from the police.
Iran and the group 5+1 (the US, UK, France, Russia, China, and Germany) reached a framework agreement in their latest talks.

The sides have decided to strike a comprehensive deal by July 1, which would on one hand limit Tehran’s nuclear activities, and on the other remove international sanctions on Iran.
