Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the State Committee for Refugee and IDP Affairs, Chairman of the Republican Commission for International Humanitarian Assistance Ali Hasanov has met the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Azerbaijan, Choi Suk-inn.
During the meeting, the sides held extensive discussions on the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the problems of refugees and internally displaced persons as a result of this conflict, improvement of their living conditions.
The Deputy Prime Minister said the relations between the two countries based on solid foundation. He thanked the Korean government for humanitarian aids and development of organizations in Azerbaijan for IDPs and refugees to alleviate their plight.
Ali Hasanov said relations in the cultural area are actively progressing between Azerbaijan and Korea, stressing Choi Suk-inn's contributions to this with many events during his diplomatic tenure in the country.
The Deputy Prime Minister wished outgoing Ambassador success in his future activities.
Choi Suk-inn said his country is always interested in return of Azerbaijani IDPs and refugees to their homelands. He hailed Azerbaijan's rapid economic development, the country's earning solid reputation in a short period of time at the global scale, and the works carried out to improve social conditions of IDPs and refugees. The Ambassador noted that economic relations between the two countries would continue to grow in the future. He expressed hope that many Korean companies will operate in Azerbaijan as well. The Ambassador said he will leave the country with good impressions.
