Iran is interested in developing relations with Azerbaijan, Iranian foreign ministry spokesman Jaber Ansari told journalists at a weekly press conference.
The spokesman described the visit of a delegation of Azerbaijani ministry of economy and industry to Iran as “a sign of development of relations” between the two countries.
“Discussions between the officials and businessmen and their decisions will help bring our countries closer to each other. The expansion of economic relations will be of special importance for both Azerbaijan and Iran,” he added.
