Azerbaijani Cultural Center has opened on the initiative of the United Congress of Ukrainian Azerbaijanis (OKAU) in Zhitomir, Ukraine, as part of a series of events marking the upcoming Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and New Year.
The event was attended by staff of the embassy of Azerbaijan, members of the Ukrainian Parliament, representatives of Zhytomyr regional state administration, activists of the Azerbaijani diaspora.
The Ukrainians congratulated Azerbaijanis on the Day of Solidarity, and emphasized progress achieved by Azerbaijan, and praised the country`s international image. The participants toured the Centre and then listened to performance by Head of Azerbaijani Cultural Center named after Muslim Magomayev, People's Artist of Ukraine Gurban Abbasov.
