The inhabitant of Ufa has seized IKEA 160 thousand rubles for the fact that her daughter fell out of the wheelchair, which was provided in the store. That is the amount were willing to pay IKEA itself. The plaintiff dissatisfied with the amount of compensation, according to Edesk news.
The Khimki city court of Moscow region has sought 160 thousand rubles with a group of IKEA in favor of the inhabitant of Ufa Guzel Uzbekova. In her lawsuit, she stated that her ten-month-old daughter fell on a concrete floor out of the pram, which gave them the Ufa store in July last year, reports “Interfax” with reference to the lawyer of Peter Dombrovski. According to petitioner, the child was injured because of disrepair and failure of the stroller, with the result that it took a long rehabilitation.
Uzbekova asked the court to recover from IKEA RUB 1 million and 80 thousand rubles in court costs. According to the lawyer, his client intends to appeal the decision of the Khimki court, as it believes awards are too small. “Such a paltry sum is absolutely insufficient”, he said. According to him, the child received a head injury and is still undergoing treatment.
