The 5th Baku International Humanitarian Forum has been widely covered by the Italian press.
Adn Kronos International SRL news agency provided detailed information about the Forum in an article headlined “Ilham Aliyev: Multiculturalism is the key for peace”. The article features quotes from President Ilham Aliyev and other speakers at the event.
A special publication called Gli Occhi della Guerra of the Il Giornale newspaper hailed the geostrategic importance of Azerbaijan and the country`s development in the last few years in “Threats to multiculturalism” article. Journalist Matteo Carnieletto praised Azerbaijan as a historically tolerant country and noted the importance of the Forum.
Journalist Domenico Letizia told about topics discussed at the Forum and at round tables, and hailed religious and ethnic tolerance in Azerbaijan in articles “Baku is the capital of multiculturalism” and “Multiculturalism as a response to radicalism”.
Italian lawyer and expert, participant of the Forum Nunzio Bevilacqua emphasized that Azerbaijan efficiently channels oil revenues into agriculture, tourism, transport and logistics to diversify its economy as he was interviewed by Adn Kronos, ANSA, Dire, Economia VicenzaPiu, Larena and Notizie Tiscali. He expressed confidence that Azerbaijan, which boasts strategic location between the East and the West, Russia and Gulf countries, will turn from an oil producing into a techno-industrial country under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.
