Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has met his Maldivian counterpart Mohamed Asim on the sidelines of the 43rd Foreign Ministerial Council of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Tashkent.
They discussed prospects for developing bilateral cooperation in political, economic and tourism fields between Azerbaijan and Maldives. Touching upon cooperation between the two countries within international organizations, the two exchanged views on supporting nominations at the elected bodies of international institutions.
The sides also had talks on the agenda of Foreign Ministerial Council of OIC and the regional issues of mutual interest.
