The European Historic Thermal Towns Association (EHTTA) will host its next conference in Azerbaijan in 2018. The decision was taken at EHTTA General Assembly in Salsomaggiore Terme, Italy. Azerbaijan`s bid to host the conference was challenged by France and Greece in a special voting. Qalaalti resort center was voted to be a venue of the next EHTTA conference.
The event featured the presentation of Qalaalti treatment and recreation complex in Azerbaijan, particularly thermal water treatment at this complex.
EHTTA President Giuseppe Bellandi hailed the importance of Azerbaijan's joining the conference. He expressed his hope that cooperation in this regard will be more successful in the coming years.
Representative of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Culture and Tourism, curator of EHTTA Gunel Aslanova attended the event.
EHTTA includes 36 cities from 13 countries.
