Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic will sign a Memorandum of Understanding on energy cooperation.
Director of the Department of Foreign Economic Policy of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic Martin Pospisil said his country regards Azerbaijan as its strategic partner in diversification of energy resources. At a meeting with Azerbaijani Deputy Minister of Industry and Energy Natiq Abbasov in Baku, Pospisil said the memorandum will pave the way for deeper energy cooperation between the two countries.
The document will be signed at the next meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on economic, scientific, technical and cultural co-operation in Baku next January.
