'Azerbaijan-Iran trade increased by 60 per cent'

Baku, December 27, AZERTAC

"Trade between Azerbaijan and Iran has increased by 60 per cent compared to the previous year," said Azerbaijani Economy Minister Shahin Mustafayev as he addressed the 11th meeting of the Azerbaijan-Iran State Commission on economic, trade and humanitarian cooperation in Baku.

Mustafayev hailed rapid development of trade relations between the two countries. "Nearly 450 Iranian companies are currently operating in Azerbaijan," he said.

Co-chaired by Mustafayev and Iranian Minister of Information and Communications Technology Mahmoud Vaezi, the meeting discusses the possibilities of enhancing cooperation between the two countries in a variety of fields.
