Azerbaijani General Consul in Batumi Rashad Ismayilov has met with Minister of Education, Culture and Sports of Ajara Autonomous Republic Inga Shamilishvili.
The two discussed prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan and Georgia in educational sphere. They underlined great potential for the expansion of bilateral cooperation.
Consul Ismayilov highlighted great importance that President Ilham Aliyev attaches to the development of science and education.
Ismayilov pointed to the memorandum of cooperation between Azerbaijan Architecture and Construction University and Shota Rustaveli State University that was signed in Batumi in April, and emphasized the significance of developing such exchanges in future.
Shamilishvili expressed interest in developing cooperation with Azerbaijan in the field of education, and stressed the necessity of increasing efforts in this regard.
