The Azerbaijani armed forces have prevented an attempt by an Armenian reconnaissance-raiding group to cross the Azerbaijani-Armenian state border, the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry has told AZERTAC.
"After the shootout the Armenian units were forced to retreat, suffering loses," said the Ministry.
"Unfortunately, a serviceman of the Azerbaijani armed forces, soldier Gurbanov Chingiz Salman oglu went missing. Relevant measures are being taken to find him."
"It seems that Armenia is not satisfied with a relative silence on the frontline and deliberately commits provocations on a regular basis. In case the enemy continues these provocations, it will face heavier losses," the Ministry added.
