Russian energy giant Gazprom's daily natural gas transport hit record high with 635 million cubic meters (mcm), according to the statement released by the company on late Friday.
According to Anadolu Agency, the company reported that the natural gas exports of 635 mcm on January 29 was a historic record for daily gas exports.
CEO of Gazprom Alexey Miller announced that Gazprom supplied 34 percent of Europe's total natural gas imports last year, in a recent statement.
He said that exports to Europe and Turkey in 2016 was up 12.5 percent in total - 19.9 billion cubic meters more than in 2015.
Turkey imports nearly 30 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas every year from Russia through the Blue Stream and Western Line.
