"Our policy aims to strengthen our country, our independence and to achieve sustainable development. Of course our goal is to ensure a better life for Azerbaijani citizen. So, we are doing all these for a better life of our people," said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev as he addressed a conference dedicated to the results of third year implementation of "The State Program on socio-economic development of the regions of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2014-2018".
The head of state noted that addressing the social issues is considered in all programs and the increase of salaries, pensions, social benefits, targeted social assistance, as well as creating the social infrastructure are set as a goal ahead.
Touching upon the assistance shown to the business structures in Azerbaijan, the President said: "A number of countries are using our experience now and describe us as an exemplary country. Therefore, the infrastructure projects, in parallel with the improvement of the business environment, attention to the business and of course, creating the social infrastructure are being successfully implemented as part of the integrated program."
