Chairman of the State Committee of Azerbaijan on Work with Diaspora Nazim Ibrahimov has met a delegation led by Executive Director of the American Jewish Committee (AJC) David Harris and AJC President John Shapiro.
On the importance of Azerbaijan-AJC cooperation, Mr. Ibrahimov said this cooperation will further develop.
Mr. Ibrahimov said Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev’s receiving David Harris during every visit shows that the head of state attaches great importance to the development of Azerbaijan-AJC cooperation.
“Azerbaijan attaches great importance to the establishment of a close relationship with the all the Jewish communities around the world. From this prospect, the AJC has a special role,” he added.
David Harris, in turn, said the Organization favors the development of Azerbaijan-US ties.
The AJC executive director highly appreciated the visit of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Azerbaijan.
