Qısa məlumat	The 'Ecological Department' as the state owned enterprise, being directly subordinated to the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic, was established in full conformity with the decree of the President of Azerbaijan Republic N 458 of September 14, 2006. The main purpose of the administration is the attainment of carrying out of ecological works, services, complex arrangements in the system of improvement of the ecological situation in the system of SOCAR, meeting the international standards and the effective norms, solution of problems, arisen in direction of providing the ecological safety in the course of extraction and reprocessing of hydrocarbons, utilization of the industrial blowout and setting of mutual relations and cooperation with the third parties on the ecological relations, estimation, survey of influence of the activity of the enterprise on the environment, setting and application of the modern methods of monitoring of industrial pollutants, carrying out ecological monitoring off-shore and on-shore, rehabilitation of contaminated soils with oil, fulfillment of CDM projects, determining of the consequences of dangers, arisen as a result of anthropogenic and natural disasters.
