Azerbaijan’s National Security Ministry has prevented the smuggling of a big consignment of drugs into the country.
The attempt to smuggle some 4.821 kg of heroin in Azerbaijan was prevented as a result of operative searches, the ministry’s public relations office told Trend Nov. 12.
As a result of the operation, two residents of Azerbaijan’s Jalilabad district – Jamil Yunusov and Ilham Seyfullayev - were detained.
An investigation is currently underway.
