Head of the Azerbaijani delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Samad Seyidov has been elected deputy chair of the organization`s monitoring committee during the autumn session of the PACE.
Speaking to journalists, Mr. Seyidov said: "As you know, I am a co-rapporteur on Serbia. I have worked at the Monitoring Committee for 15 years. I think this is a sign of confidence put in Azerbaijan, especially by the Monitoring Committee, because observation of elections in European countries is one of the responsibilities of PACE."
