Armenian army incapable of responding to any army, says Armenian NGO leader

Baku. Malahat Najafova – APA. No one in Armenian wants the war to begin again, the head of the Intra-national Liberation Movement Vahan Emilyevych Martirosyan, who earlier asked Azerbaijan for political asylum, said at a press conference in Baku on Sept. 18.

He said the older generation does not want the war at all. “Because, they remember how these two countries were friends at one time. The war can cause tragedy for both countries. Armenian Army has not power to respond to any army. The servicemen have not patriotism. Non-combat casualties increased. All of us know that how this war will give a result to Armenia,” he noted.

Vahan Emilyevich Martirosyan, head of the Armenian Intra-national Liberation Movement, together with his wife and underage child fled to Azerbaijan to seek political asylum to protect himself and his familiy.

For its activities, the opposition Intra-national Liberation Movement organization, led by Martirosyan has faced prosecution from Armenian state authorities and different officials.
