Azerbaijan invested $97m in Georgia’s economy in first quarter of 2017

“Azerbaijan invested $97 million in Georgia’s economy in the first quarter of this year, which makes 24 per cent of overall investment in the country`s economy,” said Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Giorgi Gaharia.

“With $82 million investment, Turkey is the second largest investor in Georgia`s economy, while the UK is third with $80 million.”

“Investments were mainly made in transport, communication, real estate and banking sectors of economy,” he added.
