European Games in Baku are similar to Olympic Games, Czech Republic swimming team official Jakub Meloun told Trend June 24.
Meloun said that the first European Games are really great. “Azerbaijan is really ready to host Olympic Games,” he said.
Conditions in the Athletes’ Village and organization of the European Games are really great, according to him.
“Baku is a real attractive tourist destination,” he said.
“If it is possible, I would like to come back to Baku to take part in some competitions,” the team official said.
The European Games kicked off in Baku June 12 and will last till June 28. There are a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports.
More than 6,000 athletes from across Europe came to Baku to represent their nations over 17 days of competition. Baku was awarded the games by the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in December 2012.
