Baku-APA. Police chief Abdul Rahman Rahimi told reporters early on Friday that the death toll from the incident stood at 8, later adjusting the figure to 10 after visiting a Kabul hospital where the injured had been taken, APA reports quoting Sputnik.
Nobody has claimed responsibility for the blast, which targeted an Afghan National Army base, according to The Guardian.
Afghanistan has long been fighting the Taliban movement as well as other insurgent groups that control large swathes of the country.
On Thursday, at least eight people were killed in Pul-i-Alam, the capital of Afghanistan’s Logar province, when a Taliban suicide bomber detonated a truck bomb.
