By Elchin Mehdiyev – Trend:

The first European Games in Baku have been organized at a high level, Alan West, the tourist from Great Britain, told Trend June 19.

West said that he tries to visit the competitions in all kinds of sports.

"I want to watch all kinds of sports, but it is very difficult,” he said. “But a good transport system has been created here. So it is easy to move from one arena to another."

West said that he visited Azerbaijan for the first time.

“I liked the country, especially friendly people,” he said. "Baku is a beautiful city. There are good museums. As a whole, Azerbaijan is a very interesting country."

The European Games that kicked off in Baku June 12, will last till June 28. There is a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports.

More than 6,000 athletes from across Europe came to Baku to represent their nations over 17 days of competition. Baku was awarded the games by the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in December 2012.
