Baku – APA. “Extra tickets will be on sale for final competitions of Baku-2015 as the tickets were sold out.”
Baku 2015 European Games Operation Committee told APA that tickets for finals of 7 sports were sold out and tickets for 8 sports were put up for sale.
8 days left until the end of world-wide competitions as a part of the European Games. Tickets for finals of 3x3 basketball, BMX, boxing, diving, gymnastics, swimming and volleyball competitions were sold out.
European Games is being celebrated as "sports holiday", after the opening ceremony held on June 12, European athletes started shining on the world stage and attracting a record number of local fans. During the last few days, 13,000 tickets were sold every day on average in 20 sports.
“Putting up for sale extra tickets in 3x3 basketball (qualifying round), beach volleyball, diving (qualifying round), judo, sambo, swimming (qualifying round), volleyball (qualifying round) and water polo is good news for the spectators.”
Speaking about growing ticket demand, Azerbaijan's Minister of Youth and Sports and Baku 2015 Chief Executive Officer Azad Rahimov said that Azerbaijani people's interest in European games is incredible: “The number of spectators gathered in sports arenas and their support for the athletes, especially Azerbaijani athletes make us happy. Baku arenas are going to receive a record number of spectators and we urge everyone to be a part of this historic sport event.”
