The former head of the International Bank of Azerbaijan Jahangir Hajiyev made an appeal regarding the decision of the Narimanov District Court to reject an appeal concerning the detention under house arrest. This appeal will be considered Dec. 18, Hajiyev’s lawyer Agil Layijev told Trend Dec. 17.
"The complaint will be considered during the process chaired by Judge Jamal Ramazanov," he said.
Hajiyev is charged under various articles of the Criminal Code, including the misappropriation, the abuse of office, fraud by causing huge damage, embezzlement through the abuse of office, bribing. According to the decision of the Narimanov court, a preventive measure in the form of arrest for a period of four months was chosen.
