Baku. Ramiz Mikayiloghlu – APA. “Pakistan intends to benefit from Azerbaijan’s experience in the fight against terrorism and crime,” Dashgin Shikarov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan Dashgin Shikarov told APA.

The ambassador said that Pakistan is one of the countries most affected by terrorism.

“Azerbaijan for the last time faced an Armenian terrorist attack 17 years ago. Fortunately, no one terrorist attack was thence committed in Azerbaijan thanks to the professionalism of local law-enforcement forces. We have invited Pakistan to collaborate with our law-enforcement bodies and benefit from their experience. In this regard, a delegation of the Interior Ministry of Pakistan is expected to visit Azerbaijan within over the next four months. In general, Pakistan praises the activities of Azerbaijan’s law-enforcement bodies,” he underlined.

Shikarov noted that Azerbaijan has managed to solve almost 98% of crimes, but unfortunately, Pakistan is twice lower according to this figure.

“Pakistan is willing to cooperate with Azerbaijan’s law-enforcement bodies to jointly combat terrorism. In the near future, a relevant protocol will be signed between the two countries,” the ambassador completed.
