The national Taekwondo team of Azerbaijan, in the team competition ahead of all rivals, became the strongest team of the first European Games. The national team, as a whole won 3 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medal, showed the best result among the 13 countries of the winners.
The second place team standings established UK. Closes the three leaders of the Russian team. Of the 13 countries, winners of the championship joy experienced by representatives of only 5 countries.
Recall that the Azerbaijani taekwondo fighters Ayhan Tagizade (68 kg), Milad Kharchegani (80 kg) and Radik Isayev (80 kg) won gold medals of the first European Games. Farid Azizov (67 kg) won the silver medal and Patimat Abakarova won bronze medal
