Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations of Azerbaijan Mubariz Gurbanli has met Ambassador the United States to the country Robert Cekuta.
The Chairman said Azerbaijan was one of those countries that would be an example to tolerance and multicultural values. Mr. Gurbanli said representatives of various confessions live in peace and in stability in Azerbaijan and highlighted the progress achieved in the fields of promoting the religious tolerance and preventing the radicalism in the country.
Robert Cekuta described State of Azerbaijan`s activity directed to promotion of tolerance as the contribution to the stability in the region, and world. He stressed the importance of uniting the efforts of all countries in fighting against the religious radicalism and terrorism.
