Baku-APA. Azerbaijani taekwondo fighter Milad Beigi Harchegani has grabbed a gold medal defeating Russian rival Albert Guan, 9-4.
In the semifinals, Harchegani, competing in the weight category up to 80 kilograms among men, defeated Portuguese athlete Julio Ferreira with a score of 6:2.
In the 1/8 finals, the Azerbaijani athlete took a lead over his Serbian opponent Damir Fejzic in a 12:0 victory. In the quarterfinals, Harchegani came out victorious over British athlete Muhammed Lutalo with the score of 17:5.
