Natig Karimov, the Chairman of the Council of Elders of Baku’s Nardaran settlement, was detained as a suspect under Article 274 of the Criminal Code of the Azerbaijan Republic (state treason), the Azerbaijani State Security Service told Trend Jan. 7.
A preventive measure in the form of arrest was chosen against Karimov upon the court verdict.
