Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu - APA-Economics. Italian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Giampaolo Cutillo has received Natalya Aliyeva, President and Editor-in Chief of Caspian Energy International Media Group, Jeyhun Bayramov, Editor of Caspian Energy journal and correspondent of Caspian Energy News Sabina Mammadova.
According to Caspian Energy Club, they discussed extension of cooperation within the Caspian European Club and Caspian Energy International Media Group, as well as special edition on development of Italia’s economy.
The ambassador highly appreciated activity of Caspian European Club and Caspian Energy International Media Group.
The diplomat said in his interview to Caspian energy journal: “Of course, we have potential for future development. Therefore, we are not satisfied with the current indicators. We can achieve higher results. Italy’s export to Azerbaijan raised to €600 mln in 2014, while it was €200 in 2011. All these facts say our relations are developing”.
He also noted that Italy is the main trade partner of Azerbaijan: “Azerbaijan is the first oil supplier of Italy since 2014. As you know, Italy is as a partner in the Southern Gas Corridor project. We undertake the commitment to start construction of the Trans Adriatic gas Pipeline (TAP) in 2016”.
“We congratulated Azerbaijan on the first European Games. The opening ceremony was grandiose. We were pleased with attending the ceremony. I think this is a very good commencement for Azerbaijan”, he said.
