Baku – APA. Azerbaijani taekwondo fighter Radik Isayev (+80 kg) advanced to the final of men’s competition as part of the first European Games in Baku June 19.
In the semifinals, Isayev gained a landslide victory over Ivan Konrad Trajkovic from Slovenia with a score of 17:2. In the quarterfinals, the Azerbaijani athlete defeated Jeron Vanruiju from the Netherlands, 8:6.
On the first two days of the taekwondo competitions, Azerbaijani athletes Aykhan Taghizade (68 kg) and Milad Beigi Harchegani (80 kg) won gold medals, Farida Azizova (67 kg) – a silver medal and Patimat Akbarova (49 kg) - a bronze medal.
