Turkey: AKP, CHP meeting over coalition to take place on Aug.10

Baku – APA. Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu has received a Justice and Development Party (AKP) delegation who had a meeting at the Republican People's Party (CHP) in connection with the creation of a coalition government.

No media representatives were allowed to take part in the meeting, which took place at the Cabinet of Ministers. Minister of Culture and Tourism Ömer Çelik, Deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtuluş, EU Minister Vulkan Bozkır, Development Minister Cevdet Yılmaz, former Minister Lütfi Elvan, MPs Ali Ehsan Arslan, Osman Can, and Taha Özhan joined the meeting, APA reported. 
 
Following the two-hour long meeting, Ömer Çelik spoke to the press. Çelik said he has given the prime minister thorough information about the work carried out and the discussions. 
 
“I informed him of what we agreed on and what we did not agree on. It’s left to the party chairmen to meet and make their decision. The report to be prepared will be discussed at the party. After the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Monday, we will be waiting for CHP chairman Kamal Kılıçdaroğlu and his deputy Haluk Koç. We will meet with Prime Minister Kamal Kılıçdaroğlu. We are ready to discuss all options,” said Ömer Çelik.
