The popularly of electronic services among the citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan is growing day by day. Thus, according to the latest statistical data released by the Data Processing Centre (DPC) of the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies, the population of the country used electronic services provided to them through the E-government portal 13, 562, 257 times during the period between January 1 and October 1, 2016. During the same period, some of the electronic services were used more often than the others.
Thus, according to the statistical data, during the reporting period, the electronic services of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population were used 4,491,884 times, the electronic services of the State Students Admission Commission were used 4,245,812 times, the electronic services of the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies were used 4 ,047,190 times, the electronic services of the State Customs Committee were used 316,085 times and the electronic services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were used 54,737 times.
Observations show that the population of the country show more interest to socially oriented e-services. Thus, according to the statistical figures, in the period from January 1 to October 1, 2016, the electronic service “Registration of labor contract notifications and provision of information about it to the employer” of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Population (MLSPP) was used 1,408,190 times. And the electronic service “Application for targeted social assistance” of MLSPP was used 1,203,524 times. Note that this service was integrated into the E-government portal on February 22 of this year.
The electronic service “Informing applicants, participants of test examinations of the results of exams via the Internet or short messages (SMS)” of the State Students Admission Commission (SSAC) was used more often than any other service of SSAC. The e-service was used 1,814, 016 times in the reporting period.
The electronic service “Provision of information on mobile phone numbers shifted to another network with the use of Mobile Number Portability (MNP)” of the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies was used 2,024,616 times during 9 months of this year.
Note that Mobile Number Portability (MNP) enables mobile telephone users to retain their mobile telephone numbers when changing from one mobile network operator to another. Portability of numbers implies full transition of subscriber from one operator to another while retaining the number together with a prefix of the operator. By using this service, the user can find out to which network the required mobile phone number has been shifted.
During the reporting period, the electronic service “Simplified declaration for physical persons” of the State Customs Committee (SCC) was used 23,889 times. Note that to date, 12 services of SCC have been integrated into the E-government portal.
It should also be noted that the electronic services “Obtaining information on e-customs declaration” and “My import/export transactions” were among the most commonly used e-services of SCC.
The electronic service “Information on fines and penalty points imposed for violation of traffic rules” of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was used 27,473 times during 9 months of this year.
