Google Play is the digital store that generates the most number of downloads. The App Store is what generates the highest revenue. Here are the detailed statistics for the first quarter of 2017 published by App Annie.
App Annie has published its report related to the statistics of the applications in the two store the main, that of Apple and Google.
Also in this first quarter of 2017, the trend remained unchanged. Google Play continues to outpace the App Store with regard to the number of downloads achieved by the applications. Of course, Android devices are many and the download reach huge figures.
The App Store however, despite a download volume lower, it is the virtual store that brings the most gains.
The first quarter of this year marks a record in the positive, both as regards the number of downloads that with regard to the number of paid apps purchased by users. The download volume grew 15% compared to last year, consumer spending in the purchase of applications, instead, has grown of 45%.
Google Play is more and more away from Apple. Last year, the gap in the number of downloads was 100% (exactly double), but now it is 135%.
