Nizhny Novgorod regional branch of the All-Russian Azerbaijani Congress and the office of the Azerbaijani Youth Association of Russia in Nizhny Novgorod will organize a concert commemorating famous singer and composer Muslim Magomayev.
The concert will be organized in partnership with the Muslim Magomayev Cultural and Musical Heritage Fund. Winner of national and international competitions, singer Nikolay Penyakin will perform songs from the repertoire of legendary Magomayev at the concert.
The program also includes an exhibition of photographs and biographical books on the life and career of Muslim Magomayev.
Muslim Magomayev was an Azerbaijani baritone operatic and pop singer of the 1960s and 1970s. He achieved iconic status in Russia and the post-Soviet countries, including his native Azerbaijan, for his vocal talent and charisma.
